Monochrome was my life till you walked in,

Your confident gait and beautiful smile,

Threatening to give my life new meaning,

And I was unready for this fresh trial;

My heart six feet deep was blooming once more

Craving for those maple eyes to drown me,

A thorny rose that I care and adore,

Prick and make me bleed for our destiny;

So please don’t leave, I’m drunk on your presence,

Trickle me a glass of your attention,

A little more of your vital essence,

Only some blood to fuel this sensation;

Or maybe more to keep us together,

And let us two become one forever.
