Thyrsus' Echoes, by Emilio Leija

Amidst burdensome sands trapped behind glass
The winged one goes from Titan to witness,
For once Maenads by despairing eyes pass
Thyrsus ́ echoes will remove sand's dimness.
Farewell to heart's maidens, wistful Sehnsucht
And bleak Toska, empty yet whole as oak.
Sand being poured as wine bathes soul in awe
The hearts feed Dionysus' ballroom hearth
Mind now dark yet free, scapes flying as crow,
For is anguish what makes his thyrsus large.
Thus Bacchic fire will melt sand's crystal cage,
Kronos shall wail, soul's chaos will arrange.
