About Maariya
At the root of it all, I'm just a History of Art student in a small corner of England, with an affinity for classical literature and art. I indulge myself in creation - that is, books, poems, oil paintings, essays, that are explorations of girlhood, youth, and aestheticism, not to mention the excruciating power of time. I hold a strong fondness for Renaissance Italy and Classical Greece and Rome, time periods that I find myself influenced by, writing and creating with their inspiration; the sun-soaked poems of Sappho and Catullus, the longing of lost lovers, the star-studded heroes and their pursuit of glory. In this way, my studies pass into my personal life. Currently, I am Head Books Editor for my student publication, The Mancunion, and the founder and editor-in-chief of The Orpheum Collective, a literary magazine aimed at helping young writers to share their work. My writing has been published in various literary magazines, including Antler Velvet, The Rome Review, Fluff Cosmetics, and more.

I am only 19 years old, but I have been making art my entire life, and it is not something that I would wish to stop pursuing anytime soon. I find that we all have something to learn from art in its many, many forms, and I use my skills to present that. I sell graphic designs and illustrations, book covers for the aspiring author, custom wall art, and social media designs in order to show the world what your businesses can offer.
